What Is a UUID?
A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a standard identifier format commonly used in software systems. Its main purpose is to let every element in a distributed system have a unique identity without requiring a central authority to assign IDs.
How to Use
- Choose how many UUIDs you want to generate.
- Click “Generate UUID”.
Characteristics of UUID v4
This tool generates UUIDv4, which is based entirely on random numbers. While a duplicate is theoretically possible, in practice the chance of generating a duplicate UUID is negligible enough to be considered unique.
