常見問題

Why remove URL parameters?

Many URLs carry tracking parameters (e.g. utm_source) that scanners usually don't need. Removing them keeps the QR Code content leaner and easier to maintain and share.

What's the difference between 'remove all query parameters' and 'only remove tracking parameters'?

Choosing 'remove all query parameters' deletes everything after the ?, while 'only remove tracking parameters' keeps functional parameters and only removes common tracking ones like utm_*, fbclid, and gclid.

What can I put in text mode?

Any plain text — notes, a Wi-Fi configuration string, an event code, a contact info snippet, and so on.

How can I verify the content is correct after generating it?

Scan the QR Code you just generated with the [QR Code Analyzer](/tools/qr-code-analyze) to quickly confirm the URL or text content is correct.

How to Use

  1. Switch between “URL Mode” or “Text Mode” at the top.
  2. Enter your content.
  3. In URL mode, you can choose whether to clean up parameters.
  4. Click “Generate QR Code”.
  5. A preview appears below, and you can download it as a PNG.

When Should You Use URL Mode?

  • You want to quickly print a website, event page, or form link on a poster or slide.
  • You want to strip tracking parameters before sharing so the URL isn’t too long or doesn’t carry unnecessary information.

When Should You Use Text Mode?

  • You want to share a short message, code, serial number, or on-site instructions.
  • You don’t need URL validation — you just want to turn plain text into scannable content.

Suggested Workflow

  • Use the QR Code Generator to produce a downloadable QR Code image.
  • Then use the QR Code Analyzer to verify the actual scan result.
  • Handy as a final manual check before an event goes live, or after batch-generating images.
